Statement: Inclusivity for all

I want to put out a statement about an issue I was ignorant about.

The Central Texas Handmaids was started by me wearing a cheap velvet cape and red dress to a protest. I just wanted to make a statement, and bring awareness. My half sister, who is black, encouraged me and I dove in head first. Any sort or racism shown by the book or the show is not supported by me. I acknowledge that white people do have privileges that people of color do not have. ANY sort or racism, or hate is not tolerated. I want a group of people who are there to make a statement and stand out. All ages, colors and genders are welcome to join. Central Texas Handmaids is an inclusive community who just wants this insanity to stop. I admit I was ignorant to the fact that there was an issue with the books and shows. After talking it over with others, I am going to keep the Central Texas Handmaids going. If anyone wants to join and advocate for the systemic racism, by all means you are welcomed with open arms. The point is to stand out and make your voice heard. I will do everything in my power to help amplify your voice. We are under attack by a fascist regime, and standing out among the crowds helps make the news. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please do not be afraid to reach out.
